Annual Justice Summit:

Justice Work Getting Easier?

Justice Work Getting Easier?

It’s hard to imagine our UU justice work getting easier and more fun during these challenging times, but maybe… just maybe, we can do more, more easily and to greater effect, if we just work together!

That’s the philosophy behind the upcoming Northwest UU Justice Summit, now scheduled for September 29, 2012.  UUs from local and regional congregations will invest a precious Saturday to learn what fellow UUs are doing, as they work towards economic justice, human rights, peace, sustainability, and more.  Why not plan on being there, too!

During an Open Space session in the afternoon, UUs with particular issues of concern (or UUs looking for their next issue!) will self-select topics for on-the-spot small group sessions.  New resources, relationships, and collaborative efforts that had seemed unthinkable a day before will emerge as doable and tantalizing.  Email addresses will be exchanged and UU issue-groups will be spawned.

At the start and end of the day, participants will consider what tools we need to support our individual and collective justice work as UUs.  The Northwest UU Justice Network, will be on hand to learn what is needed and to help us support those needs.  For full program details, check out the downloadable brochure.  To register, click here (link coming soon).

Maybe it’s not so hard to imagine, after all.  Our UU justice work could get easier during these challenging times, ….  as we work together!
