Help Protect 11 Marine Sanctuaries and Monuments from Trump Actions

Content Cover Image

The Alt National Park Service social media presence was created by dozens of rogue park rangers in defiance of President Trump’s social media gag order on the Interior Department, which manages the National Park Service.

The group's Facebook page published this National Alert on June 30:

We need your help to protect 11 marine sanctuaries and monuments.

The Trump administration is now targeting Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument off Hawaii, Rose Atoll Marine National Monument off American Samoa, Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary off California and the Thunder Bay Marine Sanctuary off Michigan.

The goal is to reduce the marine sanctuaries and monuments so they can be opened to oil and gas exploration, fishing, and much more.
