ACLU Asks Help to Protect Children with Special Educational Needs

In Washington, it is illegal to discriminate against someone based on their disability, yet special education students in our state are suspended or expelled at more than twice the rate of their non-special education peers. To help keep kids in school, we have filed a lawsuit against the state Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) on behalf of students with special education needs who have been wrongfully disciplined for behavior related to the disabilities. Show your support for this important lawsuit. Tell OSPI: Keep students in school!
